my experience

Professional Summary

tl;dr  I utilize storytelling & media to impact progressive wins and catalyze policy change.

In 2022, I joined Senate Majority PAC as their creative strategy director. My focus was on digital strategy, messaging, and ensuring impactful visuals. I worked with internal and external teams to strategize and create effective video and graphic ads, landing pages, homepage takeovers and much more across the battleground states. Not only did we hold the Democratic majority - we helped expand it!

My skill set and experiences span traditional communications, digital, and social media - from strategizing and conceptualizing to execution and distribution. Depending on the role, I have managed the process and led teams, or I have done every single piece myself.

I've also run several small businesses, including kids on rocks productions, a production company - but queer, and obsessed with policy impact.

Some skill highlights:

-Mastery of video, graphics, print, and audio production processes, including making recommendations, devising budgets, tracking project plans, managing vendors, developing scripts, and editing
-Confident in digital creative production and general best practices, including video, website, social platforms, and graphics and ability to create the assets myself - from script writing to post-production
-Experience deciding communications and digital strategies and content for mission-driven organizations
-Strong understanding of the full digital landscape and how to adjust goals and build strategies to suit a medium’s needs, as well as information from data and analytics
-Successful track record of conceiving, developing, and executing innovative and effective campaign strategies for media at the national, regional, and local level to advance social justice issues
-Experience collaborating across departments as well as with external partners
-Experience managing and/or developing an organizational brand and related assets, and training others in the brand style and guidelines

My work has screened at festivals including OutWeb Fest, Big Apple Film Festival, Las Vegas Queer Arts Film Festival and the Paris Short Film Festival. My video and photography work has also been featured in outlets like ATTN, Rebel HQ, The Nation, RevryTV, NowThis, GO Mag, Curve Mag, Univision and OUTtv.

Creative Strategy Director

Senate Majority PAC

  • Work with outside agencies and firms on digital ads - including video, news boosts, landing pages, facebook pages, paid search, audio ads and statics - all running in premium and social media environments to impact voter persuasion and motivation

  • Utilize polling, focus groups, audience targeting, research, ad testing, and current events to inform creative strategy, including writing scripts and directing creative

  • Ensure creative is effective with impactful storytelling by giving feedback on messaging, scripting, and creative treatments - including visual cohesiveness, color, stock images/footage, fonts, animation/effects

  • Provide feedback that reduces messaging or imagery that could contribute to negative or harmful social impact

  • Manage creative process, including tracking of creative, organizing digital team on feedback and revisions, obtaining approvals, providing feedback to agencies, and quality assurance before launch

Communications Director

Felicia Singh for NYC Council

Campaign to flip the last Republican-held city council seat in Queens. Felicia's Democratic primary win was historic - we doubled the electorate.

  • Crafted, managed and executed communications, digital and media strategy aligned with best practices and the candidate and campaign’s goals

  • Created processes for campaign-wide communication as well as within comms, digital and language teams

  • Directed and ensured a cohesive campaign including high-quality visual brand and communications

  • Prioritized inclusion and accessibility through translating in multiple language and captioning videos (often in 3 languages but more depending on the communication)

  • Provided feedback and edits on scripts and communication for field, fundraising, political etc

Traditional Comms

  • Pitched stories and op-eds and coordinated interviews

  • Developed relationships with reporters and editors

  • Wrote and distributed media advisories and press releases

  • Strategized op-eds and oversaw the writing process and edited drafts

  • Wrote planned and rapid-response statements and quotes for the candidate, requested corrections when needed

  • Drafted quotes when needed for electeds and organizations 

  • Drafted mailer, palm card and letter communications, worked with candidate, designer and stakeholders on finalizing mailer copy and content

  • Strategized and oversaw printed press and tv ad program and executed TV ad program in three languages


  • Managed and updated website regularly (Squarespace)

  • Ensured usability, value and visual appeal during website visits

  • Redesigned and added pages when needed

  • Wrote weekly campaign newsletters (Mailchimp)

  • Strategized and oversaw impactful digital ad and google ad program

  • In the general, we ran over 230 Facebook ads with various messaging, creative and languages


Social Media

  • Managed, created and posted content across all social media platforms, curating for impactful storytelling

  • Strategized, wrote, filmed, edited and captioned numerous professional videos for the campaign

  • Captured professional photography for campaign-wide use including press and printed materials and coordinated crowd-sourced photos through volunteers and staff

Content Creator and Strategist 

Cabán for Queens DA Campaign 

Strategizing, filming on the trail, editing videos and photos in moving cars, and captioning videos in makeshift offices for the months of the campaign launch and final month leading up to the election for social media, printed materials and press

  • Photographs and footage were picked up in national publications and media outlets

  • The last video I strategized and made was retweeted 1.2k+ times, with over a million impressions views at that time.
    Folks like Senator Elizabeth Warren, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ady Barkan, Cynthia Nixon, and John Legend shared videos Launch of the campaign included involvement in foundational conversations around the visual identity of the campaign, collaboration on strategy, candidate media training, and translating messaging and candidate’s story into compelling content

  • Collaborated on campaign launch and social media strategy that included a video from the first video shoot with the candidate which filmed and edited with 20K organic impressions on Facebook within the first week
